His practice focuses on portraiture and abstraction created through a lens that’s influenced by Black culture, his southern upbringing, collective memory, comics, and Hip-Hop. These authorities are present within his work as he depicts scenes that are both commonplace and whimsical highlighting the common threads that tether us.

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2014, later acquiring his Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas with a concentration in archival studies in 2018.
