Date: June 6th, 11AM - 4PM.

Location: University of Houston-Downtown

The Artist Archive Development Workshop is a project to teach basic archival fundamentals to artists to better organize and archive their work. It’s important that artists have the information and tools necessary to properly archive their work, their practice, and their career. Though late-career artists are usually the focus of art archives, this workshop invites emerging and mid-career artists to start the process of recording and preserving their history. It will be limited to 15 participants selected from a pool of applicants. There will another workshop held later this year.

This event is open to anyone currently pursuing an artistic practice. This includes the visual arts (painter, illustrator), literary (writer, poet), audio/visual (sound artists, musician, filmmaker, etc.), and performing (dancer, performance arts, etc.).
